E-Gaming Federation onboards Shubman Gill & Naezy to promote and ensourage "Responsible Gaming" practices

Shubman Gill, an Indian cricketer, and Naved Shaikh, a.k.a. Naezy, rapper, have joined the E-Gaming Federation (EGF), an organization representing top online skill gaming operators in India for Asli Gamer consumer campaign on responsible gaming. Targeting people over 25, who enjoy playing online skill games, the campaign defines the promising standards of responsible gaming aiming to educate players and protect them from any adverse consequences of online gaming.

‘Asli Gamer’ rap song featuring Nazey and Shubman, urges players to respect the game, play for fun, set a limit, maintain balance, not chase losses, and self-exclude when going overboard. With an aim to reach out to the Indian gaming community the campaign inspires players to ‘Become Asli Gamer’, take self-assessments, and adopt healthy gaming practices. The players will also receive an ‘Asli Gamer’ badge after completing the self-assessment.

Shubham Gill stated that maintaining responsible gaming behaviour while playing online games is just as crucial as adhering to fair play standards on the cricket field.  Reiterating that the Indian online gaming market has experienced exponential expansion, Nazey said that promoting safer play will improve the playing experience. I'm excited to be a part of the EGF's landmark initiative and I hope the campaign will strengthen the responsible gaming commitment of Indian players and provide them with the tools to make a difference," added Naezy.

EGF advocates the significance of responsible gaming and endorses ‘Responsible Play’. The five principles of this model include:

  • 1. Fix and control daily and monthly deposit limits,

  • 2. Play for entertainment, and not as a way of making money,

  • 3. If losing, never chase losses

  • 4. Self-exclude and stop playing if feeling stressed

  • 5. Keep a balance between game time and other activities

Members of the EGF include companies that provide the full range of games, like online gaming industry unicorn Games 24X7 and other companies that are active in the market, like Head Digital Works, Junglee Games, Passion Gaming, and Octro.
